Christmas Day 2

The day after Christmas we headed to my sisters for dinner with my side of the family.  Thankful Sarah has a new camera and snapped tons of pictures or I wouldn't have any from here either.

Christmas Day

Enjoying our quiet Christmas Eve after the kiddo's went to bed.  It is kind of nice not to have to play Santa anymore and be able to relax on Christmas Eve.

John was pretty excited about Christmas.  I caught him looking at his presents a few time under the tree.  I guess his family does not wrap the presents in Korea so this element of surprise would be exciting for him.  I hope you enjoyed his American Christmas.

 Rooney was able to join us on his college break again this year.  This is the 3rd year he has been with us for Christmas.

Christmas evening we went to Jeff's sisters and had a lovely dinner and time with his side of the family.  I can't believe I didn't snap any pictures :(

Carrot's birthday

I am so far behind so I will be playing catch up over the next few days.  

A week before Christmas our little Carrot turned 8.  I can't believe how big the kids are.  We had an awesome night.  She wanted breakfast food for dinner so we had sausage, french toast and fried potatoes.  Sarah was home from disney so I surprised her with inviting Sarah over for our evening of fun and it just snow balled from there and I ended up inviting all my side of the family over.  Yes, that was a lot of french toast.  The night got even better for her and Banana since I found out some friends from our neighborhood were also planning to go iceskating that night so we had even more company when we met up at the iceskating rink.  The rink was small but it was a fun memorable night.

Aunt Suzannah crafted a hat to match her American girl doll hat without a pattern....I'm pretty impressed.

Blessed with snow before Christmas

We were blessed with snow this year before Christmas.  We rarely get snow before Christmas so it has been a treat.

17 Months

So much for sweet 16 :(

Well on to month 17 and we will see where it brings us.  I'm not too hopeful with the holiday's.  Also I feel like historically I haven't seen too many January/February referrals in the past but still holding out some hope that maybe.  My brain is trying to convince my waiting heart now to expect anything until March.
